Gatesman is seeking an exceptional marketing research intern to join our Chicago office for the 2020 spring semester. As a marketing research intern, you will work 10 hours per week researching industry trends and creating marketing materials that will influence campaigns. You will report to the Account Management Department and will have support from the Marketing Intelligence Department. Your insightful contribution will help develop, expand and maintain our marketing channels.

This internship will help you acquire marketing and research skills and provide you with knowledge of various marketing strategies. Ultimately, you will gain broad experience in marketing and should be prepared to enter any fast-paced work environment. The internship can be completed for school credit. Please note that this position is unpaid.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with account management and marketing intelligence teams to determine research pathways and report formats
  • Work independently to research industry trends that will influence campaigns
  • Consolidate data into actionable items, reports and presentations
  • Create and manage newsletter communications, delivering on time, relevant market information
  • Support the account management teams in daily administrative tasks

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Business Administration, Sociology, Psychology, Statistics or a related field
  • Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university; completing junior or senior year education level at the start of the internship
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Analytical mindset
